CSLS is an interesting school for a lot of reasons, but one of the things that really makes it stand out is that we get a lot of students who don’t really enjoy spending time with books or sitting in classrooms. In fact, lots of them moved into the construction industry specifically because they would rather be out in the sunshine than sitting around indoors.
Rest assured, if that describes you, you certainly aren’t alone. And, you can probably enjoy the time you’ll spend at our school even if you weren’t ever a great student. That’s because CSLS is probably a lot different from any other school you’ve ever been to. Here are a few of the most important reasons why:
Our students want to be here. Lots of high schools are filled with young people who are attending classes because they have to. At CSLS, you’ll learn alongside other construction professionals who signed up, just as you have, because they want to make more money, take control over their futures, and even enjoy more time off. Classrooms feel a lot different when they’re full of people who want to learn what they need to know, instead of just waiting to get a diploma.
CSLS instructors are seasoned industry professionals. We won’t force you to study a lot of subjects you’ll never need to know about, or read books that aren’t applicable to your construction career. Our instructors have all been in your shoes and know what it takes to succeed in the industry. That means they can answer your questions and teach you the right material without extra lectures and time-consuming discussions.
When you come to CSLS it’s because you have a specific goal in mind. Our classes don’t go on for years and years. Because you come to us in order to learn a few specific things, we make it a point to help you reach your goal as quickly as possible. Even if you don’t like school, you can probably feel good about taking a few weeks of classes if it means you can become a licensed business owner afterward.
