Is Contractor’s Exam Prep Really Too Expensive?

Even with the wide variety of classes and financing options we have available at CSLS, we occasionally hear from potential students who tell us that California contractor’s exam prep training is just “too expensive.”

None of us ever wants to spend more than we have to, of course, but the idea that attending CSLS costs too much doesn’t hold much weight in our eyes. There are two good reasons we can say that with confidence:

First, Attending CSLS Doesn’t Cost as Much as You Might Think

Not only is CSLS amongst one of the more affordable continuing education options you’ll ever come across, but we’ve begun offering periodic specials that help make your dream of becoming a licensed contractor more attainable than ever. And our experienced admissions team can help you figure out a financial aid package that meets your budget even if you don’t want to spend a lot of money out of pocket right now.

And Second, Becoming a Licensed Contractor Pays for Itself Time and Time Again

Once you become a licensed contractor, you could decide to start your own business and earn a higher salary as a consequence. Think about it this way: even if you only start making an additional $10 an hour, and work a normal schedule, that’s a $400 raise every single week! Many of our students increase their income a lot more than that, of course, but that simple example illustrates the point that your education will likely pay for itself time and time again.

Time and money are never easy to find, even when you want to do something important that helps you move forward with your life. But you shouldn’t let concerns about finances stop you from becoming a licensed contractor. Between discount tuition packages, financial aid, and the potential for future earnings, there just isn’t a good financial reason to put off becoming a licensed contractor any longer.
